Joining Pape Gueye and Léonardo Balerdi, Yuto Nagatomo is OM’s third summer transfer window addition.

Born on 12 September, 1986, Yuto Nagatomo began his career in his native Japan. After four seasons at FC Tokyo and a League Cup in 2009, he came to Europe after a strong 2010 World Cup performance. It was on loan to AC Cesena that he made his Europeandebut. He joined Inter Milan in 2011, where he remained until 2018. He played 210 games there, scored 11 goals and won an Italian Cup in 2011. Since 2018, he's worn the Galatasaray shirt. Turkish champion in 2018 and 2019, he also won the Turkish Supercup in 2019.
A Japanese international since 2008, he has notably played in the 2010 and 2018 World Cups, the Asian Cup (which he won in 2011) and the Kirin Cup (won in 2008, 2009 and 2011).
At 33 (he will be turning 34 on 12 September), Yuto Nagatomo is an experienced left-back who comes to strengthen André Villas-Boas’s squad. The Nippon is taking on a new challenge by discovering a new club and a new league. After Koji Nakata and Hiroki Sakai, he is the third Japanese international to wear the OM jersey.
