Cédric Bakambu is an Olympien!
Born in Ivry-sur-Seine on 11 April, 1991 and having developed at Sochaux, Cédric Bakambu debuted in Ligue 1 for his boyhood club in 2010. That same year, he was a starter in the final against Spain and won the European Championship with the French U19 team.
After Sochaux, Cédric Bakambu moved to Turkey (Bursaspor - 40 games and 21 goals) and then Spain with Villarreal. During 3 seasons with the Yellow Submarine, he played 105 games and scored 47 goals. In January 2018, he moved to China and Beijing Guoan, a club with which he scored 58 goals in 87 games.
A Congolese international, he also played in the African Cup of Nations in 2019, scoring 3 goals.
In total, Cédric Bakambu has scored 147 goals in 339 games over the past 10 years. He’s a seasoned striker, finisher and yet another offensive weapon in Jorge Sampaoli's squad.
