First matches for the OM amputee football team
This weekend, the OM amputee football players played their first league game at the OM Campus, a moment awaited by the whole team. Supported by dozens of fans who had come to cheer them on from the stands, and under the watchful eye of the Institutional and Sports Advisor, Fabrizio Ravanelli, and their sponsor, Romain Alessandrini, the Olympiens showed determination and commitment.
OM started the season in the best possible way with a 5-0 win against FC Annecy, before losing 2-0 the following day to FC Bouaye in a hard-fought match.
This first day was also an opportunity for former teammates and national team players to meet up again as now-opponents, sharing great moments of conviviality over the weekend.
Next games will be played in Annecy, in March.
