Welcome to Mars, Amine Harit!
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is back in the Mediterranean city on a loan deal with an option to buy after successfully passing his medical examination.
He is the twelfth Olympic recruit of the Summer Window 2022.
Born in Pontoise, France, on June 18, 1997, the FC Nantes-academy player made his Ligue1 debut in August 2016, before joining FC Schalke 04 the following season. In Germany, he played 119 games (13 goals) before returning to the French league last season, in the colors of OM, during a first loan.
A dynamic, dribbling player, Amine played 34 times for the Olympic club, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists in all competitions. His performances in Marseille opened the doors to the Moroccan national team, a nation qualified for the World Cup 2022, with whom he actively participated in the qualifiers for the African Cup 2023.
Back home, the 2021-2022 French vice-champion will take advantage of his past experience and knowledge of the environment to quickly integrate and offer an additional offensive solution within Igor Tudor's squad. Olympique de Marseille wishes Amine a very good return to Marseille.
