Azzedine Ounahi is an Olympian !
The 22 year old Moroccan international and recent World Cup semi-finalist has signed a four and half year contract with the Olympien club after successfully passing his medicals at the club.
Born in Casablanca (Morocco) on April 19, 2000, Azzedine played in Morocco from 2010 to 2018 before joining his first French club - RC Strasbourg - before moving on to US Avranches.
After a year in Normandy, he joined SCO Angers in 2021 and made his Ligue 1 debut, going on to make 32 appearances with the Angevins in his first season.
He went on to shine once more this season, with his performances allowing him to be selected by Walid Regragui to compete in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with his country.
The Atlas Lions created history reaching the semi-finals of the competition for the first time. Playing a major part in that success, Azzedine started in every match for his country; against Croatia, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Portugal and France.
A real revelation to the eyes of the whole world during this international period, the 22 years old player showed the extent of his talent: His technical prowess and speed saw him pose constant threats to opponents through his races and his dribbles. A compatriot of Amine Harit's, he has represented Morocco 17 times.
A player with high potential, Azzedine will use his skills and forward play to integrate as seamlessly as can be into head coach Igor Tudor's system
