Iliman Ndiaye is an Olympian!
Olympique de Marseille announced today the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from Sheffield United. The attacking midfielder has joined the Olympien club after successfully completing his medical examinations.
Having passed through OM's youth setup in 2011-2012, Ndiaye completed his training at Boreham Wood, north of London, before signing with Sheffield United in 2019. In 88 matches played in the Blades' colors, the agile Senegalese player scored 22 goals and provided 14 assists in the Championship and Cup competitions.
Last season, he finished as the top scorer (14 goals) and the top assist provider (10 assists) for Sheffield United, earning him the title of the team's Player of the Season as voted by Red & White Wizards supporters, and he was also included in the Championship's Best XI.
At just 23 years old, Iliman Ndiaye has earned 7 caps with the Teranga Lions. He notably participated in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, during which Senegal was eliminated in the round of 16.
