Faris Moumbagna is an Olympian !
Born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on 1 July 2000 and trained in the United States, the Cameroonian striker launched his professional career in Europe in 2020 with Kristiansund BK in Norway's top flight, followed by Sønderjyske Fodbold in Denmark.
His good performances, and more specifically his power and speed of execution, attracted the attention of a number of Scandinavian clubs, including Norway's leading club of recent years, FK Bodø/Glimt, whom he joined in January 2023. With the Yellow Horde, the 23-year-old Cameroonian striker enjoyed a prosperous year, scoring 24 goals and providing 9 assists in 50 games at the top of the attack, playing a major role in the club's title-winning campaign.
His power and ability to create chances also enabled Faris to shine on the European stage, scoring 6 goals in the Europa Conference League this season. He was instrumental in his club's qualification for the Round of 16, and even became a Cameroon international just before the African Cup of Nations, which he is currently contesting with the Indomitable Lions.
