Mason Greenwood is an Olympian
Trained at Manchester United's prestigious academy, Mason Greenwood began his professional career with the Red Devils in a Champions League last-16 tie against PSG in March 2019. At the age of 17 years and 156 days, he became the youngest player ever to pull on a Manchester United shirt in the Champions League. A precocious talent, his speed and dribbling ability soon dazzled the whole of England and then Europe. On May 12, 2019, the Bradford native also became the youngest player in the history of the Manchester club to start in the Premier League on the final day against Cardiff City.
As comfortable with his right foot as with his left, the striker who can play in all attacking positions has racked up 35 goals and 12 assists in 129 games for Manchester United. Accustomed to playing in the great atmosphere of the mythical Old Trafford stadium, the English nugget even became an international in September 2020 at the age of just 19. In 2021, Mason Greenwood also played in a Europa League final and finished 5th in the Raymond Kopa Trophy for the world's best player under 21.
Last summer, the British winger joined Getafe CF on loan, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists in 36 games. He was also voted best player of the season by the Azulones fans.
