Valentín Carboni joins Marseille
Born on March 5, 2005 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Valentín Carboni honed his skills in Italy with Catania FC and then Inter Milan. A technically gifted left-footed attacking midfielder, the Italo-Argentinian managed to lead the Nerazzurri's Primavera side to victory in the U19 championship and earn playing time with the national team by 2022. At just 17 years of age, the young trequartista impresses with his physical strength, versatility, and powerful shooting ability.
Having made several notable appearances in Serie A and the Champions League, Valentín Carboni was loaned out to AC Monza in the summer of 2023 to gain experience. During the previous 2023-2024 season, the Argentine midfielder enjoyed a full and promising campaign, playing 32 games, scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists.
His performances did not go unnoticed in his homeland either: Valentín Carboni was called up by Lionel Scaloni for the reigning World Champions Argentina, earned his first cap in March 2024 and won the Copa América on July 15 for the Albiceleste.
