Elye Wahi in Blue and White
Trained in the south of France with Montpellier HSC, Elye Wahi discovered the professional world with his formative club in December 2020 at the age of 17. A few weeks later, he scored his first professional goal, becoming the second-youngest goalscorer in the club's history. With Les Héraultais, the French striker showcased his speed, percussion, and finishing skills, which quickly earned him a regular place in the first team and opened the doors to the French U-21 team after a spell with Les Bleus' various youth teams.
During the 2022/2023 season, Elye Wahi established himself as MHSC's star player and one of the league's revelations, scoring 19 times in Ligue 1 and appearing among the UNFP nominees for the title of Best Espoir. After breaking all precociousness records, scoring 32 times and providing 9 assists in 92 appearances for the Nicollin family's club, the fiery striker committed himself to Racing Club de Lens in the summer of 2023.
Under the colors of the Sang et Or, the young center-forward continued to be decisive and discovered the highest European level with the Champions League, even scoring his first goal on the European stage against Arsenal in the warm atmosphere of the Stade Bollaert. The man whose childhood idol was none other than Didier Drogba will be discovering the Orange Vélodrome this 2024/2025 season.
Welcome to OM, Elye!
