Born in Bourgoin-Jallieu on 16 February 2000, Amine Gouiri began his team's training at the Olympique Lyonnais academy. Regarded as one of the most promising prospects in the Rhône-Alpes team and regularly upgraded, the Franco-Algerian player made his professional debut with his parent club on 19 November 2017, when he was just 17 years old. The promising striker also shone at youth level with the French national team, from U16 to U20, and finished top scorer at the Euro U17 in 2017 with eight goals in four games played.
A highly technical player with great finishing ability, the right-hander decided to sign for OGC Nice in the summer of 2020. With the Aiglons, Amine Gouiri confirmed the hopes placed in him, scoring 28 goals and providing 19 assists in 89 appearances for the red-and-black outfit. His versatility and dribbling ability have earned him a nomination for the UNFP trophy for Ligue 1's best young player for the 2020/2021 season. After two successful seasons on the Côte d'Azur, the striker moved to Stade Rennais FC in the summer of 2022.
While in Brittany, the young striker played 103 games, scoring 31 goals and providing 12 assists, once again proving his versatility and ability to score goals as well as getting his team-mates on the scoresheet. Aged just 24, Amine Gouiri has already played more than 200 games in France's top flight, making him an established striker with plenty of experience in the McDonald's Ligue 1. In 2023, he opted for the Algerian national team, with whom he has six caps to date.
