OM extends partnership with Intersport
Conscience of the very difficult economic context endured since the beginning of 2020, Olympique de Marseille is pleased to be able to count on its loyal partners, who have always stood alongside the club.
It is in this capacity that the club is pleased to announce today the extension of the partnership with Intersport for two more years, until 2023.
This collaboration, which began more than 10 years ago, takes on a new dimension including a social responsibility component. It's very dear to Frank McCourt and the sporting goods distribution chain, and will be activated through the OM Fondation and programs in support of amateur sport. The first initiative will be the launch of a call for solidarity project: "OM Foundation x Intersport," aimed at OM Next Generation clubs. The aim is to help all partner clubs set up various social projects and highlight the action of these clubs (selection via a mixed Intersport and OM jury).
“We are proud to continue this partnership with Intersport. Since 2009, the club has forged a privileged relationship of trust with Intersport France, which once again allows us to extend through our common adventure. Intersport will continue to benefit from the status of being an Official Partner, visibility at the Orange Vélodrome and on the club's social networks, while supporting the OM Foundation in various solidarity actions," said Hugues Ouvrard, Olympique de Marseille's general business director.
"Due to the history that has united us for more than 10 years and our desire to become the sports brand dearest to the French people, continuing our partnership with Olympique de Marseille was obvious. The club is, still after so many years, an incredible emotional vehicle. It is loved everywhere in France and conveys very powerful social bond values for all generations.
"Olympique de Marseille is a great showcase for our brand and our 690 stores. Our collaboration with the OM foundation is also a strong decision, connected with the commitments of our Group. We share many common values, with the aim of making the sport of tomorrow more accessible, more united and more sustainable," said Guillaume Payen, Director of Marketing and Communications for INTERSPORT France.
