Super League: Frank McCourt's reaction

"As an American who has had the privilege of running and owning clubs on both continents, I have learned that the culture of sport in Europe is very different from that of the United States and must be respected. In Europe, the system is not based on the centralisation of power and gratification in the hands of a few. Of course, we have to find a business model that is sustainable and this requires changes. This is the effort undertaken by UEFA, which we support.
"This is not the time to break this model. It is the moment to transform it while remaining true to the fundamental values of European football culture.

"All of us at Olympique de Marseille are firmly opposed to the proposals made by some clubs to create a European Super League. "
