Amir Murillo is an Olympien!
Olympique de Marseille today announce the signing of Michael Murillo from RSC Anderlecht. The defender has committed to the Olympien club after successfully passing his medical examination.
Hailing from his home country of Panama and having been trained at San Francisco FC where he won a national cup, Murillo continued his career in the United States with the New York Red Bulls in 2017. After 80 matches played over three seasons and winning a Supporters' Shield with the New York club, the Panamanian defender chose to move to Europe and joined Belgian side RSC Anderlecht in 2020, where he played 134 matches, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists as a defender.
In the national team of Panama, Murillo has earned 65 caps, scored seven goals, and provided six assists.
