Philippe Echaroux, an artist from Marseille who produces portrait projections on the facade of the stadium, paid homage to the committed supporters during the crisis by bringing them back to life in the stadium

They have not been able to come to the stadium since March but Philippe Echaroux and OM Fondation wanted to pay tribute to them with a work that is original to say the least.

René, Manuel, Mecheta, Yanis, Hamza, Thomas, Christian, Rachid are eight Olympique de Marseille supporters and members of a group of supporters. During the health crisis, they all helped the sick and the most destitute in their own way. Marauding volunteers, members of the hospital staff... They gave their time during this very special period.

In order to pay tribute to the committed supporters during the crisis, the faces of these eight supporters were projected onto the stands of the Orange Vélodrome. It was also a way to bring back to life the Olympien fans in a stadium that they miss so much.

"I used light projection and the idea was to project the fans onto the stadium, a place that is dear to all the fans and all the people of Marseille. Fans were asked to come and have their photos taken and when night falls, the photos are projected onto the seats of the stadium from the Ganay tribune. The faces will literally merge with the stadium," explains Philippe Echaroux.
