Les Olympiens' 2019-20 pre-season calendar
Les Olympiens resume training on Monday, 1 July, to begin preparations for the 2019-2020 season. Next Wednesday, 3 July, 2019, they’ll visit to England at St. George's Park, the training center of the English Football Federation, for their first summer camp until the 14th of July.
OM will play 3 matches in England: against the Stoke City U23 team on 7 July, at 11 a.m. BST at St. George's Park, then against the League One side Accrington Stanley Football Club, at AJ Bell Stadium at 6 p.m. BST on the same day, and finally against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers FC at Ibrox Stadium, on the 14th of July at 3 p.m. BST.
During this UK summer camp, several training sessions will be open to the press and the public, including 2 media days.
From 16-24 July, OM will participate in the “EA Ligue 1 Games” organized by the LFP in Washington D.C.
During this tournament, they will play two matches: the first against French side Girondins of Bordeaux, for the semifinal of the competition on 18 July, at 9 p.m. ET at Audi Field, home of Major League Soccer's D.C. United. Depending on the result, OM will either play the final or the third-place match, against Saint-Etienne or Montpellier HSC on Sunday 21 July, at 9 p.m. ET.
Press conferences with OM coach Andre Villas-Boas and a player to be determined will take place before the match on 17 July at 5:30 p.m. ET at Audi Field, and on 19 July, at 4:30 p.m. ET at the French Embassy in Washington D.C.
Olympique de Marseille will play their last game on U.S. soil against D.C. United, led by captain Wayne Rooney, at Audi Field on 24 July, at 8 p.m. ET.
Throughout this U.S. tournament, training sessions will be open to the press and the public at the Georges Mason Training Center in Washington DC.
For its last step in preparation of the new season, Olympique de Marseille will celebrate the club's 120th anniversary at the Orange Vélodrome Stadium with a gala match against Carlo Ancelotti’s SSC Napoli, on the 4th of August, at 9 p.m. CET.
