OM training in Italy to prepare for Brest
Accompanied by everyone involved in the club's sporting activities, Olympique de Marseille's professional squad will fly to Italy this Tuesday afternoon and settle into the peaceful surroundings of the Waldorf Astoria Cavalieri Hotel, located north of Rome, thirty minutes from Roma City FC's training facilities in Riano, where the Olympique squad will train until Saturday.
Organised on the initiative of the management, with the immediate support of the coach, this training camp aims to reinforce positive momentum in a different setting conducive to preparing for Sunday's match.
The Olympique delegation will return to Marseille on Saturday afternoon.
Pablo Longoria: "Today, the only thing that matters is the match against Brest. The decision to go on a training camp was taken collectively, at a time when every detail can make the difference.
The idea came up in our discussions with Roberto, who immediately accepted it, understanding perfectly the meaning of this initiative. It is a decision taken by the club, designed to put the team in the best possible conditions.
I know how committed Roberto is to his job and how dedicated he is to our club. He has worked hard, with passion, method and rigour, since day one. In what can sometimes be a noisy environment, I want to make it clear that he has my full support.
Medhi and I are very happy that this initiative reflects the unity of our work. Here, we don't build anything alone. We decide together. And we move forward together.
What matters now is the pitch. The team. Sunday's match.’
